RecruitMarines.com Enters Recruiting Industry
CINCINNATI, September 3, 2002 -- RecruitMarines.com will introduce branch-specific military-to-civilian recruiting to the Internet today. The new company, based in Cincinnati, will use a variety of electronic tools to help men and women who are leaving the United States Marine Corps
find positions in Corporate America.
"RecruitMarines.com will appeal strongly to employers in four ways," said Drew Myers, president of the company. "First, many employers and job candidates have a loyalty to the Corps that carries over into civilian life. RecruitMarines.com will bring those employers and candidates
together. Second, many jobs require an extra 'dose' of attributes that are characteristic of Marines - bearing, courage, decisiveness, endurance, integrity and loyalty, unselfishness, and creativity.
"Third, because we will use some of the most advanced electronic tools in the military-to-civilian recruiting industry, we will be able to offer employers a number of very attractive price points. And fourth, on the candidate side, RecruitMarines.com will list both enlisted personnel
and officers; and on the employer side, both non-exempt and exempt positions."
RecruitMarines.com is an offshoot of RecruitMilitary, a military-to-civilian recruiting firm based in Cincinnati. RecruitMilitary was founded in February 1998 by Myers, who is a former Marine captain.
RecruitMarines.com will use advanced editions of electronic recruiting tools. Larry Slagel, a former Marine tank officer and recruiting officer, will head up all of the recruiting efforts and operations for the firm.
RecruitMarines.com will offer employers four recruiting products, said Myers. "Internet Job Postings will give employers fully editable, easy-to-use, and easy-on-the-pocketbook formats for describing their job openings and their companies. Two full-year subscription products will enable
employers to search our vast database of candidates. Employers will use our Facilitated Target Marketing product to send promotional e-mail and direct-mail messages to candidates."
